During the last two weeks, I was occupied by my exams. Luckily, yesterday everything finished so from now on, I’m free for the rest of the summer. Also, Guardian had published the new 2010 University ratings and City rises 5 places leaving behind universities such as Nottingham, Kings College London, Manchester and many more. Ако харесахте този пост, почерпете ме с бира!Big Sha and Lilana Feat Snoop Dogg – Dime Piece is a newly created hip-hop track by a Bulgarian rapper called Big Sha and a young pop vocalist Lilana. The buzz about this track came because of the presence of the American rapper Snoop Dog within the single. In the Bulgarian blogosphere and Youtube it became a ground for vareous discussions and that’s the reason why I decided to write about it.
I think that the track will not make it to the international charts due to several reasons:
- Big Sha’s English language accent is so strong that it is almost impossible to understand completely
- Lilana’s English is a little bit better, but she lacks the needed vocal level for this kind of music
- Snoop Dog is making lots and lots of featurings, so this is just the next one and nothing special at all.
After all being said and written, I can tell that although the track is not the best piece of music, it is definitely better than nothing and probably will help in the development of the Bulgarian music culture for the future.
